Henry Coates and Kaya Baysal won the Development Tour finale in Wigan on Sunday, claiming the last two titles of the 2026 Winmau Development Tour season.

Both finals took place at the Robin Park Leisure Centre, where Events 23 and 24 brought the circuit’s year to a close.

More than 380 players competed across a long day of action. Once the two finals were done, Sebastian Bialecki was confirmed as the circuit’s table-topper for the season.

Coates beat Owen Bates 5-1 in the Event 23 final, according to the PDC report on the finale.

It was a comfortable scoreline. The win secured his second Development Tour title of the year.

Baysal then won Event 24, beating Jurjen van der Velde in the final.

The result brought him his maiden PDC title, the first of his young career. Between them, Coates and Baysal brought a demanding day of darts at the Robin Park Leisure Centre to a fitting close.

Development Tour finale

The Development Tour finale settled far more than two trophies on the day. The top three ranked players on the final standings earn a place at this year’s World Championship, the sport’s flagship event. Bialecki finished top of that table.

Van der Velde, Cam Crabtree and Jamai van den Herik also feature in the sport’s flagship event this year. Crabtree and Van den Herik have gone further still. Both have secured PDC Tour Cards for the 2027-28 season, their route onto the senior circuit.

Coates already held a PDC ProTour title from July, a result our ProTour title report covered at the time.

Baysal, by contrast, was a runner-up on his Development Tour debut that same month; he went one better this time, in Wigan.

Other players who have sealed places in major PDC events this year feature in our qualification update.

What Happens Next

Attention now turns to the World Youth Championship, the next stage of the PDC’s pathway for young players.

The round robin and knockout rounds, running from the last 64 down to the semi-finals, will be staged on Monday, October 5. That stage comes quickly, with barely a day to recover from Wigan.

The final itself will not be played until Sunday, November 29. It forms part of the Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals at Butlin’s Minehead Resort.

That event sits within a packed calendar, one set out in full in the 2027 schedule for the sport.
