Luke Humphries

Luke Humphries, known as Cool Hand, is an English darts player and a former PDC world champion. Born in Reading on 11 February 1995 and raised in Newbury, Berkshire, he was third on the PDC Order of Merit when the rankings were last published on 2 November 2026, with £1,037,500 in ranking prize money over the two-year period the list covers. He now lives in Crewe. The PDC credits him with 30 senior titles, a total the PDC compiles across all of its senior competitions.

Humphries won the PDC World Youth Championship in 2019, beating Adam Gawlas 6-0 in the final. His first senior major came at the 2023 World Grand Prix, where he beat Gerwyn Price 5-2. In 2024 he became world champion, beating Luke Littler 7-4 in the final (Littler now leads the Order of Merit), and later that year he won the World Matchplay with an 18-15 win over Michael van Gerwen. In 2025 he won the Premier League, again beating Littler, 11-8, in the final.

He won the World Grand Prix for a second time in October 2026, beating Price 6-4 in sets. Later that month he reached the final of the Swiss Darts Trophy on the European Tour, beating Kevin Doets, Krzysztof Ratajski, Cristo Reyes and Mensur Suljovic before losing 8-4 to Jonny Clayton. He then withdrew from the 2026 European Championship with gastroenteritis and was replaced in the draw by Kim Huybrechts. The PDC records eight nine-dart finishes for him across all of its events. He throws 22-gram Red Dragon darts and walks on to "I Predict A Riot" by Kaiser Chiefs.
