Blackburn vs West Ham injury news centres on defensive concerns for both clubs ahead of Saturday’s Championship meeting. Ryan Alebiosu and Tom Atcheson face fitness checks for Rovers, while Kyle Walker-Peters remains a doubt for the visitors.

There is better news elsewhere: Scott Wharton is available again for Blackburn, and Dinos Mavropanos has already returned to action for West Ham. Kick-off at Ewood Park is at 3pm GMT on Saturday 7 November.

Ryan Alebiosu injury: Blackburn await assessment

Alebiosu was forced off during the first half of Blackburn’s defeat by Stoke. Tony Mowbray said the right-back was due to undergo a scan, leaving his involvement against West Ham uncertain.

In Blackburn’s official injury update, the manager said: “I think Ryan, having spoken to the medical department, is going to go for a scan, and I hope it isn’t too bad.”

Gady Beyuku could deputise if Alebiosu cannot play. The latest update leaves the decision open rather than confirming an absence.

Tom Atcheson faces late decision as Wharton returns

Atcheson missed the Stoke match with a groin problem. Mowbray must decide whether the defender is ready to return, with Hayden Carter having impressed in his absence.

Wharton’s availability gives Blackburn another central defensive option. Being available for selection does not, however, confirm that he will start.

West Ham injury news: Walker-Peters doubtful, Mavropanos back

Walker-Peters missed Wednesday’s draw at Cardiff after picking up an injury against West Brom. Joel Veltman replaced him at right-back.

West Ham World’s injury round-up reports that no return date has been confirmed, leaving Walker-Peters a major doubt for Ewood Park.

Mavropanos is in a different position. The centre-back returned from his knee problem to complete 90 minutes against Cardiff and should no longer appear on a list of confirmed injury absentees.

Other Blackburn and West Ham absences

Ryoya Morishita is expected to remain unavailable, while Mathias Jorgensen has been recovering from a thigh problem and had not been ready to face Stoke.

Adam Forshaw, Lewis Miller and Matty Litherland are also listed as injured in LiveScore’s match preview. No confirmed comeback dates are given there.

For West Ham, Keiber Lamadrid remains unavailable, according to Read West Ham’s team-news update.
