Bournemouth player ratings
Djordje Petrović — 6: Beaten by Calvert-Lewin before the goal was disallowed. Leeds subsequently struggled to turn their approach play into enough testing efforts.
Adam Smith — 7: Contributed to another clean sheet as Bournemouth became more secure after the opening exchanges. Booked before making way near the end.
James Hill — 7: Helped keep Calvert-Lewin from having a decisive influence after the early scare. A solid contribution to Bournemouth’s control of the second half.
António Silva — 7: Shared in a defensive performance that improved with the game. Leeds’ early promise did not develop into sustained pressure on Bournemouth’s goal.
Adrien Truffert — 6: Had to contend with Leeds’ brighter opening period. Part of a back line that ultimately gave the visitors little encouragement after half-time.
Ryan Christie — 6: Bournemouth initially struggled to impose themselves in midfield. Christie contributed to the recovery, although a booking preceded his second-half withdrawal.
Tyler Adams — 7: Recovered from an uncomfortable opening spell against his former club. Bournemouth’s improved midfield control helped reduce the service reaching Leeds’ forwards.
Rayan — 6: Less decisive than Bournemouth’s other attackers. Played most of the match before Adli replaced him and supplied the finishing touch in stoppage time.
Justin Kluivert — 8: Alert to Trafford’s mistake and composed enough to find Evanilson. His intervention changed a game in which Leeds had initially looked comfortable.
Marcus Tavernier — 7: Became more influential as Bournemouth settled. His low free-kick forced a good save from Trafford during the second half.
Evanilson — 8: Took the opening goal and offered more than a finishing touch, with his movement giving Bournemouth a stronger attacking presence as the game developed.
Bournemouth substitutes
Eli Junior Kroupi — 8: Produced the outstanding moment of the closing stages, beating Ampadu before releasing Adli for the goal that settled the contest.
Lewis Cook — 6: Introduced alongside Kroupi and helped Bournemouth manage the midfield during the final quarter of the match.
Álvaro Rodríguez — 6: Had a late opportunity to score but could not beat Trafford. Provided another threat as Leeds committed players forward.
Bafodé Diakité — NR: A late defensive replacement for Smith.
Amine Adli — 7: Needed only a brief appearance to make a decisive contribution, finishing Kroupi’s pass to remove any remaining doubt about the result.
Leeds player ratings
James Trafford — 4: His misplaced pass handed Bournemouth the opening goal. Made saves afterwards, but the error changed the direction of a promising Leeds performance.
James Justin — 6: Involved in the move that ended with Calvert-Lewin’s disallowed goal. An encouraging attacking contribution that did not bring a lasting reward.
Nico Elvedi — 6: Competitive against Evanilson and not responsible for the goalkeeper’s mistake. Could not prevent Bournemouth taking greater control once they were ahead.
Tarik Muharemović — 6: Offered a reasonably steady defensive contribution. Leeds’ defeat owed more to decisive mistakes and limited attacking output than a sustained collapse at the back.
Jayden Bogle — 6: Helped construct Leeds’ best early move and offered an outlet. The visitors needed more of that quality after falling behind.
Ethan Ampadu — 5: Part of Leeds’ effective early midfield work, but Kroupi beat him in the move for the second goal. A difficult finish.
Ao Tanaka — 5: Started with promise alongside Ampadu. Trafford’s pass put him in trouble for the opener, and Leeds lost their earlier midfield authority.
Gabriel Gudmundsson — 6: Offered support during Leeds’ stronger opening period. His attacking influence diminished before the changes midway through the second half.
Harry Wilson — 6: Involved in the disallowed goal and sent another effort wide. Showed flashes of the quality Leeds needed more consistently.
Daniel James — 5: Had some early encouragement, including a sharp turn away from Adams. Could not turn that start into a decisive attacking contribution.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin — 6: Unfortunate that the ball struck his arm before his early finish. Increasingly short of service as Bournemouth took control of the contest.
Leeds substitutes
Sean Longstaff — 5: Unable to improve the quality of Leeds’ final delivery when opportunities arose late on.
Anton Stach — 5: Had shooting opportunities during Leeds’ search for an equaliser, but his finishing did not trouble Petrović sufficiently.
Lukas Nmecha — 5: Added another attacking option without supplying the breakthrough Leeds needed.
Jean-Mattéo Bahoya — NR: Introduced late and helped create an opening for Stach, but had limited time to influence the match.
Brenden Aaronson — NR: Reached the byline during one late attack. Too brief an appearance for an overall mark.
Bournemouth vs Leeds player ratings: player of the match
Justin Kluivert. Evanilson and Kroupi both made strong claims, but Kluivert supplied the intervention that changed the game. His anticipation and decision-making turned Trafford’s mistake into the lead Bournemouth never surrendered.
