Updated 5.20pm GMT, Friday 30 October: added Marco Rose’s quotes on Tóth, Scott, Kroupi and Milosavljević from the club’s team-news interviews. Tóth, 21, is out for “some months”; Scott, 23, has missed Bournemouth’s past six matches.

Bournemouth vs Leeds injury news: Anton Stach remains a doubt for Leeds, Alex Scott is unavailable for Bournemouth and Eli Junior Kroupi is still building his fitness before returning to the starting line-up.

Daniel Farke’s Thursday update brought better news on Nico Elvedi, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor. Joe Rodon has partially rejoined team training, although the Leeds manager said Saturday would probably come too soon.

Marco Rose also explained why Bournemouth are taking a gradual approach with Kroupi, said a decision on Scott is still to be made, and confirmed Tóth faces a long spell out.

Bournemouth vs Leeds injury news: Stach remains a doubt

Stach is still dealing with a foot problem, Farke confirmed in Leeds United’s official Thursday press-conference update.

The manager hoped the midfielder would improve before Saturday but did not confirm his availability.

Stach appeared as a substitute against Sunderland last weekend, coming on in the 66th minute according to Sky Sports’ match record. That appearance has not removed the uncertainty over his fitness for Bournemouth.

Elvedi available, Calvert-Lewin and Okafor train normally

Elvedi has recovered from the illness that kept him out of the Sunderland game and is available for selection, Farke said in the club’s update.

Calvert-Lewin and Okafor also completed normal training weeks. Farke expected both to be fully available provided there were no further setbacks.

Their improved fitness gives Leeds more options, although availability does not confirm a place in Saturday’s starting side.

Rodon progresses, but Saturday probably too soon

Rodon has partially returned to team training following his hamstring injury. Farke said the defender needs more sessions after his absence and described this weekend as probably too soon.

That represents progress in his rehabilitation rather than confirmation of a matchday return.

Mateo Joseph remains unavailable with a knee injury, according to Sports Mole’s Thursday preview.

Scott out as Rose considers return timing

Scott will miss the Leeds match. The 23-year-old picked up the thigh problem on England duty earlier this month and has missed Bournemouth’s past six fixtures. “He hasn’t trained with the team so far but I’m quite sure he is going to do it in the next couple of days,” Rose said in the club’s update on his return.

Rose did not rule out Scott featuring at Ipswich, but said the club would decide nearer the time. “It could be an option but again, we have to ask ourselves, is it reasonable?” he said. That fixture is on Sunday 8 November at 2pm GMT, according to the Premier League’s November fixture announcement.

Bournemouth are still considering whether to bring him back before the international break or use that additional time to build his fitness.

Kroupi available, but not ready to start

Kroupi has featured off the bench in the wins over Manchester United and Aston Villa since returning from his foot injury.

“We still need to build up his game time,” Rose said. “I’m really happy to have him back, his quality, but he knows that he has to be patient in this situation, to not get in a difficult situation with another injury.”

The forward is back in contention, but Bournemouth are managing his workload as he rebuilds match fitness. Our Junior Kroupi injury update covers the background to his return.

Tóth and Araujo remain sidelined

Alex Tóth, 21, faces “some months” out after damaging a muscle in the 3-0 Europa League win over AC Milan earlier this month. “It’s a huge muscle injury. We just assess the situation, how we handle it, but he is going to be out for some months, I think,” Rose said in the club’s injury update. “We will still assess Totty but I am sorry about him and for him, because we are going to miss him a little bit longer.” Julián Araujo is still out with a thigh problem.

Veljko Milosavljević has twice featured for Bournemouth’s development squad on his return from a quad injury. Rose said the defender will get more under-21 football but that “if we need him, he would be ready”.
