Our Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal predicted lineups include Kai Havertz up front for the visitors, while Morgan Gibbs-White’s place depends on a late fitness assessment.

Arsenal could have Martin Zubimendi available again, but Piero Hincapie and William Saliba remain sidelined as Mikel Arteta prepares for Sunday’s trip.

The Premier League fixture kicks off at 4.30pm BST on Sunday 18 October at the City Ground. Our Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal TV and live-stream guide has the broadcast details.

Nottingham Forest team news: Gibbs-White faces late decision

Gibbs-White is a doubt after suffering a muscle problem during Forest’s defeat at Crystal Palace.

In Forest’s official pre-match injury update, Oliver Glasner explained that the midfielder had missed team training during the week before completing an individual session on Friday.

His response to that work and the next training session will determine whether he can feature.

Our prediction provisionally includes Gibbs-White alongside Dan Ndoye behind Liam Delap. His selection should not be read as confirmation that he has passed his assessment.

Nikola Milenkovic has returned to training and could make the squad, but Glasner also wants to assess his response after several weeks out.

Nicolo Savona and Igor Jesus remain unavailable. Our earlier report on Igor Jesus’ injury explains the setback that reduced Forest’s attacking options.

Arsenal team news: Zubimendi could return

Zubimendi has improved after the ankle problem that kept him out of Arsenal’s Champions League victory over Lille.

Arteta left open the possibility of his involvement against Forest, while indicating that Hincapie needs more time, according to Reuters’ report of Friday’s fitness update.

Saliba remains unavailable despite progressing to individual training, while Christos Tzolis is also absent.

Our predicted midfield pairs Bruno Guimaraes with Declan Rice rather than assuming Zubimendi will be ready to start immediately.

Ezri Konsa is selected alongside Gabriel in central defence, with Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori at full-back.

Havertz gets the nod as Arsenal consider attacking changes

Havertz is our choice ahead of Viktor Gyokeres, with Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard also selected after their influential appearances from the bench against Lille.

Arsenal scored three times in seven second-half minutes to secure that victory, with Jurrien Timber, Eberechi Eze and Saka on target.

Our Arsenal 3–0 Lille match report covers the burst that settled the contest.

Eze retains a place in our predicted attack, joining Saka and Odegaard behind Havertz. Noni Madueke provides another option if Arteta prefers a different balance on the left.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal predicted lineups

Arsenal predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Raya; White, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Guimaraes, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Eze; Havertz.

These are predicted selections. Gibbs-White’s inclusion is fitness-dependent, while Zubimendi’s possible return could change Arsenal’s midfield options.
