An Igor Jesus injury has ruled the Nottingham Forest striker out for several weeks, while Neco Williams faces a fitness assessment before Sunday’s trip to Crystal Palace.
Oliver Glasner confirmed at Friday’s press conference that Jesus has a calf muscle injury. Nikola Milenkovic will also miss the match, leaving Forest with concerns in attack and defence.
The game kicks off at 2pm BST at Selhurst Park, with full broadcast details in our Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest TV guide.
Igor Jesus injury means several weeks out
“He has a muscle injury in his calf and he will be out for a few weeks,” Glasner said, as reported by Hayters.
The Forest manager did not give a specific return date.
Milenkovic’s absence follows a knee injury sustained in a challenge. Glasner explained that the defender has a painful bone bruise and has been unable to train.
Neco Williams remains a doubt
Williams trained on Thursday after returning from international duty, but subsequently developed a fever and missed Friday’s session.
Glasner said Forest would assess his recovery before deciding whether he could feature. The full-back’s availability therefore remained unresolved at the briefing.
Those concerns form part of the wider Premier League team news for this weekend.
Forest enter Sunday with five points from five matches, one ahead of Palace. The hosts’ official match centre confirms the fixture at Selhurst Park, where Glasner returns to face his former club.
