Our Brentford vs Liverpool predicted lineups include another opportunity for Lewis Koumas, with Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai still being assessed before Saturday’s match.

Ryan Gravenberch’s suspension guarantees a midfield change for Liverpool, while Brentford have fitness decisions across their defence and attack.

The Premier League fixture kicks off at 3pm BST on Saturday 17 October at the Gtech Community Stadium. Our Brentford vs Liverpool viewing guide explains the broadcast arrangements and highlights options.

Liverpool team news: Isak, Gakpo and Szoboszlai remain uncertain

Andoni Iraola has left open the possibility of the three players returning after they missed Liverpool’s previous two matches.

In Liverpool’s official fitness update, the head coach explained that further training would help determine their availability.

Our prediction assumes none is ready to start. That is a selection judgement rather than confirmation they have been ruled out.

As detailed in our Liverpool injury update, Isak has been managing a thigh problem, Gakpo an ankle injury and Szoboszlai a hamstring issue.

Gravenberch will serve a one-match suspension following his dismissal against Manchester City. Trey Nyoni is our choice to partner Alexis Mac Allister, although Wataru Endo is also available after being ineligible for the Champions League trip to LASK.

Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni remain absent.

Barcola and Koumas make their case

Liverpool’s 6–3 victory over LASK gave Iraola reasons to retain parts of his attacking combination.

Bradley Barcola scored a hat-trick, while Koumas also found the net. Our analysis of Barcola’s performance examines how their connections with Florian Wirtz strengthened the case for another opportunity.

All three feature in our predicted team, with Munoz completing the attacking quartet.

Iraola has indicated that further changes will be needed during Liverpool’s congested schedule, so the European victory does not guarantee continuity. An Isak return would also create an immediate decision at centre-forward.

Brentford team news: Andrews weighing several returns

Keith Andrews is assessing Kevin Schade and Jannik Schuster after both were forced off during the draw at Aston Villa.

In Brentford’s official team-news update, Andrews confirmed both had been back on the grass, without guaranteeing their involvement.

Nathan Collins and Mikkel Damsgaard are also moving closer to returns.

Sepp van den Berg was on the bench at Villa but has yet to play this season following a groin injury. Our prediction includes him alongside Kristoffer Ajer, making his readiness to start an important qualification.

Jaidon Anthony and Dango Ouattara are our choices out wide, with Mathias Jensen behind Igor Thiago. Schade or Damsgaard becoming available could alter that arrangement.

Brentford vs Liverpool predicted lineups

Brentford predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kelleher; Kayode, Van den Berg, Ajer, Lewis-Potter; Yarmoliuk, Janelt; Anthony, Jensen, Ouattara; Thiago.

Liverpool predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Nyoni, Mac Allister; Munoz, Wirtz, Barcola; Koumas.

These are predicted selections. Liverpool’s three fitness checks and Brentford’s returning players could change the teams before kick-off.
