Squads: Private Prediction Leagues and Banter Chat for You and Your Mates

Squads are free private prediction leagues on dave.sport. Start one, invite your mates with a single link, and settle once and for all who really knows their football. Each Squad gets its own Dave Predictor table, its own roles and its own private banter chat for the back and forth after every weekend.

Your own private prediction league

Every pick your Squad makes in the Dave Predictor counts in your Squad’s own table, as well as in the national and club tables. So each weekend you are not just playing the whole country. You are playing the people you actually have to face on Monday.

• Free to start and free to join.
• Up to 100 players in every Squad.
• One Squad to captain each, and you can join as many of your mates’ Squads as you like.

A private banter chat for your Squad

Every Squad has its own private chat. Wind each other up about your picks, celebrate the exact score nobody else saw coming, and remind the bottom of the table where they finished. Only members of your Squad can see it.

It is banter, not abuse. Every message is checked automatically before it appears, so bullying, hate and abuse never make it on to the wall. Captains can remove anyone who spoils it, and anyone can raise a concern or a welfare issue with us.

Captain it your way

Whoever starts a Squad is its Club Captain. As captain you hand out the roles, from Kit Man and Cult Hero to Golden Boot, Longest In Shower and Chairman, and you keep the Squad in order. If you ever leave, the longest-serving member takes the armband.

One link, all your mates

Every Squad has an invite link you can share on WhatsApp, X, Facebook or anywhere else. Everyone who joins with your link counts as your recruit, and they can invite their own mates too. Recruiting earns you XP towards your Dave Card, the football-style player card every member gets.

Launch bonus: get 25 into your Squad

Get 25 people into your Squad before 5pm on Thursday 15 October 2026 and we will add an official club shirt, for the club of your Squad’s choice, as a first prize for your Squad.
