Squads terms

Squads are private groups on dave.sport where you and your mates play the Predictor head to head, compare your Dave Cards and share a bit of banter. These terms apply to everyone in a Squad. They sit alongside our site terms and Predictor League rules.

A private space for you and your mates

• Only members can see a Squad’s members, chat and table. People join with an invite link, and the captain can remove anyone.
• Keep your invite link for people you know. Anyone with the link can ask to join.

Friendly banter welcome

• Wind-ups about results, transfers and your mate’s terrible predictions are what Squads are for.
• What is not allowed: abuse, bullying, threats, hate or discrimination of any kind (including about race, religion, sex, sexuality, gender identity or disability), sexual content, sharing other people’s personal details, spam, or anything illegal.
• Every message is checked automatically before it appears, and messages that break these rules are blocked. That check is a safety net, not a guarantee, so please play your part.

Your responsibility

• You are responsible for what you post and for the name and photo on your Dave Card.
• Captains look after their Squad: they can hand out roles and remove members who spoil it for everyone.
• Members are expected to keep the Squad a good place to be. If something is not right, say so, leave, or report it.

Raise a concern or a welfare issue

• If someone is being abused, bullied or targeted, or you are worried about someone’s welfare or safety, contact us through our contact page with the Squad name and what happened. We aim to look at every report within 48 hours.
• If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
• We can remove messages, members, Squads and accounts, and we may share information with the police where the law requires it.

Age

• Squads are part of the Predictor, which is for people aged 18 and over.

Your data in Squads

• We store your Squad memberships, roles, who invited whom, and your Squad messages, along with the activity described in our Predictor League rules: the stories you open, swipe and vote on, what you follow, and your XP.
• We use this to run Squads, keep them safe (including the automatic message checks), and personalise dave.sport. We also use your interests to choose which offers and promotions we show you on dave.sport, including in the Predictor. We do not show betting offers.
• Messages are kept while the Squad exists and deleted when it closes or you delete your account. Details are in our privacy policy.
