Peterborough United will be without Carabao Cup leading scorer Harry Leonard against Bradford City on Tuesday, with Robbie Savage turning to Danny Ormerod for the fourth-round tie.
Leonard has scored four goals in the competition but is suspended after bookings against Bristol Rovers and Barnsley.
Victory would take Posh into the quarter-finals for the first time since the 1991-92 season.
Ormerod gets his chance after Barnsley double
“Harry is suspended so Danny will get an opportunity,” Savage told the Peterborough Telegraph.
Ormerod scored twice against Barnsley in the previous round, giving Posh a replacement who has already contributed to their cup run.
Leonard’s four goals comprise the winning penalty at Bristol Rovers, two against Watford and one against Barnsley.
Posh progressed past Barnsley on penalties to reach the fourth round for the first time since 2009.
Defensive decisions for Savage
Lucca Mendonca requires assessment after an ankle knock, while Tom O’Connor’s availability is also uncertain. David Okagbue could return if they miss out.
Matt Garbett and Josh Feeney are expected back after missing the draw at Bromley.
Garbett suffered a knee knock against Huddersfield, while Savage rested Feeney following a demanding run of club and international matches.
Bradford’s defence presents another obstacle
Bradford have not conceded in Michael Duff’s first four league games in charge, most recently drawing 0-0 at Oxford United on Saturday.
Josh Neufville remains unavailable, while Stephen Humphrys is a doubt with a back problem, according to Sports Mole’s team-news preview.
The hosts also beat Peterborough 2-0 at Valley Parade in August. Posh return in the League One relegation places, but with the opportunity to secure a place in the last eight of a major cup competition.
Bradford host Peterborough on Tuesday 27 October, with kick-off at 7.45pm GMT and the match live on Sky Sports+.
