Luke Littler reassures Crabtree after celebration
“I said, ‘Sorry, mate, sorry for celebrating.’ And he said, ‘No, don’t be silly.’”
Crabtree said Littler also congratulated him and wished him luck for the final at Minehead, before posting a supportive message on Instagram that evening.
The victory carried particular significance for Crabtree, who estimated that he had lost around nine previous meetings with Littler.
He also revealed that he had welcomed the prospect of facing the top seed, believing a title would feel even more rewarding after beating the strongest player in the field.
World Youth final awaits
Crabtree will face Germany’s Jan Schmidt at Butlin’s Minehead Resort on 29 November.
His breakthrough follows a longer rise through professional darts. As our Cam Crabtree profile explains, Challenge Tour success and a professional Tour Card preceded his win over Littler.
The semi-final added another milestone to that progress. A first World Youth Championship title is now one victory away.
