European Championship darts tonight: Luke Littler’s match order, TV channel and Friday schedule
Sky Sports has the European Championship from Dortmund, starting Thursday, October 22nd. Here is the draw, the schedule and why Gian van Veen's form matters.
Luke Littler faces William O’Connor at the European Championship on Friday 23 October, with UK coverage starting at 6pm BST on ITV4 and ITVX.
Their first-round match is fifth on the evening’s schedule in Dortmund. Littler does not have a fixed start time: his appearance depends on how long the preceding four matches take.
Michael van Gerwen also begins his campaign, facing Kevin Doets in the penultimate match before Josh Rock takes on Chris Dobey.
What channel is the European Championship darts on?
The tournament is live on ITV4, with streaming through ITVX. Friday’s coverage begins at 6pm BST, as listed in the Radio Times broadcast guide.
Viewers can select ITV4 through the live section of ITVX. An ITVX account is free, and a Premium subscription is not required for the live channel.
You must be covered by a TV Licence to watch live television, including through ITVX.
Friday’s order of play
Eight first-round matches complete the opening stage. The published schedule lists the following order:
| Order | Match |
|---|---|
| 1 | Ryan Joyce vs Jermaine Wattimena |
| 2 | Krzysztof Ratajski vs Dave Chisnall |
| 3 | Nathan Aspinall vs Cristo Reyes |
| 4 | Jonny Clayton vs Niko Springer |
| 5 | Luke Littler vs William O’Connor |
| 6 | Wessel Nijman vs Martin Schindler |
| 7 | Kevin Doets vs Michael van Gerwen |
| 8 | Josh Rock vs Chris Dobey |
The 6pm listing applies to the session. Later matches follow in sequence, so individual start times should be treated as estimates.
Who would Littler face next?
The winner of Littler against O’Connor will meet Nathan Aspinall or Cristo Reyes in Saturday evening’s second round.
Van Gerwen or Doets will face the winner of Krzysztof Ratajski against Dave Chisnall in the same session.
Our European Championship draw guide has the wider tournament bracket.
Weekend schedule: when is the final?
The second round takes place across two sessions on Saturday. Sunday brings the quarter-finals in the afternoon, followed by the semi-finals and final in the evening.

| Saturday 24 October | Second round, evening | 6pm BST |
