Biography

Chris Dobey, known as Hollywood, is an English darts player from Bedlington. Born on 31 May 1990, he was 16th on the PDC Order of Merit when the rankings were last published on 2 November 2026, with £551,000 in ranking prize money over the two-year period the list covers. The PDC credits him with 11 senior titles, one major and ten on the ProTour, and he took up the game in 2010.

Dobey won his first PDC ranking title at Players Championship 18 in 2021, beating Jose de Sousa 8-7 in the final, and added Players Championship 28 later that year with an 8-6 win over Ryan Searle. His first major title came at the 2023 Masters, where he beat Dirk van Duijvenbode 10-5, Michael Smith 11-7 and Rob Cross 11-7. On his full-time Premier League debut that year he won the opening night, beating Michael van Gerwen 6-5 in the final. At the 2025 World Championship he beat Gerwyn Price 5-3 in the quarter-finals before a 6-1 semi-final defeat to Van Gerwen, and in that year's Premier League he won night 11, beating Stephen Bunting 6-2 in the final. His tenth ranking title came at Players Championship 9 in April 2026, where he beat Justin Hood 8-4.

His autumn of 2026 has brought a run of early exits. He reached the quarter-finals of Players Championship 30 in September, losing 6-5 to Karel Sedlacek, then lost 2-0 in sets to Jermaine Wattimena in the first round of the World Grand Prix. Defeats in his opening matches followed at the Swiss Darts Trophy, against Bradley Brooks, and the Dutch Darts Championship, against Cristo Reyes, before a 6-1 loss to Josh Rock in the first round of the European Championship. The PDC records four nine-dart finishes for him across all of its events. He throws 23-gram Target darts and walks on to "Hey Jude" by The Beatles.
