Crystal Palace recovered from conceding in the third minute to beat Nottingham Forest 3–1 and inflict defeat on former manager Oliver Glasner’s return to Selhurst Park.
Dan Ndoye gave Forest an early lead, but goals from Daichi Kamada and Jefferson Lerma turned the match around before half-time. Yéremy Pino added Palace’s third after the break.
Forest finished with more possession and almost twice as many shots, yet Palace’s finishing secured their second Premier League victory of the season.
Palace turn the game around before half-time
Ndoye’s third-minute opener put the visitors in control of the scoreline, and their lead remained intact until the closing stages of the first half.
Kamada equalised in the 41st minute from Quinten Timber’s assist. Palace then completed the turnaround four minutes into stoppage time, with Adam Wharton setting up Lerma to make it 2–1.
Pino extended the advantage in the 59th minute, leaving Forest needing two goals to salvage a point.
Glasner introduced Callum Hudson-Odoi and Chris Wood in place of Ndoye and Liam Delap, but the visitors could not find a way back. Delap had led the attack in the confirmed starting line-ups.
Forest left to rue missed opportunities
Forest registered 24 shots and were credited with eight big chances, compared with Palace’s 13 shots and four big chances.
The hosts nevertheless produced more efforts on target, seven to six, and scored three times after falling behind.
