Caroline Dubois targets undisputed success with brother Daniel

Caroline Dubois has spoken of her ambition for both herself and brother Daniel to become undisputed world champions as he prepares for Saturday’s rematch with Fabio Wardley.

The WBC and WBO lightweight champion welcomed the prospect of the siblings reaching the top of their respective divisions.

“I like the sound of that. That would be awesome and really cool,” she said in comments reported by the Morning Star.

Caroline Dubois building towards more titles

Caroline already holds two of the four major lightweight belts.

She added the WBO title to her WBC championship by beating Terri Harper in April, before retaining both against Amelia Moore in August.

Her professional record stands at 14 wins and one draw, with five victories coming by knockout.

Becoming undisputed would require her to add the WBA and IBF championships, while Daniel faces his own immediate challenge before pursuing further heavyweight titles.

Daniel Dubois faces Wardley rematch

Daniel defends his WBO heavyweight belt against Wardley at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday 17 October.

He won their first meeting in May, recovering from two knockdowns to stop Wardley in the 11th round.

That comeback gives Saturday’s challenger a clear reason for believing he can threaten the champion again, even though he could not finish the job first time around.

Our Dubois–Wardley rematch analysis examines the adjustments Wardley could make after surrendering that early advantage.

For Caroline, the ambition extends beyond the titles the siblings currently hold. For Daniel, retaining his own belt is the next step.
