How the 2026 ADC Global Championship format works
The 2026 event uses a new format. Previous editions staged group stages before a knockout phase that began at the quarter-finals.
This year the field is 128 players in a straight knockout from round one. The tournament runs across seven days, with the final on Sunday 8 November. The champion receives £20,000.
Under the format, a single defeat ends a player’s tournament. That makes every early match decisive, including a 5-3 scoreline such as Self’s. Our guide to how to watch the ADC Global Championship explains the broadcast options.
What next for Archie Self after his opening win?
