ADC Global Championship 2026: how to watch free, tournament schedule and opening results
The ADC Global Championship is live and free on Pluto TV this week, with 128 players competing in Portsmouth for a £20,000 first prize.
The tournament runs from Sunday 1 to Sunday 8 November at the MODUS Live Lounge. Former WDF world champion Neil Duff won his opening match, but former Lakeside finalist Jeff Smith suffered a first-round exit.

Opening results: Duff progresses as Smith and Hedman exit
Neil Duff beat Shaun Vernall 5–3 on Sunday to reach the second round. David Davies also advanced, defeating Deta Hedman 5–1.
Jeff Smith was beaten 5–0 by Michael Wiles, while Brian Raman recorded another whitewash against Arne Spee. Alex Williams defeated Jack Tweddell 5–1.
The opening afternoon included several closer contests. Mat Caste edged Stephen Russell 5–4, Bradley van der Velden beat Michael Powell by the same score and Marcel Otter came through a deciding leg against Gary Hayes.
| Selected first-round match | Result |
|---|---|
| Neil Duff v Shaun Vernall | 5–3 |
| David Davies v Deta Hedman | 5–1 |
| Michael Wiles v Jeff Smith | 5–0 |
| Brian Raman v Arne Spee | 5–0 |
| Alex Williams v Jack Tweddell | 5–1 |
Those results underline the consequences of the new format: an opening defeat ends a player’s tournament, with no group-stage matches available to recover.
What has changed for the ADC Global Championship?
Previous editions used groups, but the 2026 competition begins with a single elimination bracket. The draw halves after each round until two players remain for Sunday’s final.
The longer matches arrive in the last 32. From the quarter-finals onwards, the number of legs required to win increases in each round, giving the closing stages a different test from the short opening matches.
