Fallon Sherrock: who is she, does she have a Tour Card, and why is she not on the Order of Merit?

Fallon Sherrock won £501,000 on Netflix. She has no PDC Tour Card, but that is not why she is absent from the Order of Merit.

Fallon Sherrock has been in darts for more than fifteen years and in the headlines since a December afternoon at Alexandra Palace in 2019. She has just won £501,000 by beating Luke Littler in a single leg of 501 on Netflix. Here is the short version of who she is, what she has won and why she is not on the tour.

She did it with a 15-darter, taking out 43 at the second attempt after a 180 left it. The full story of the night is in our report on Sherrock beating Littler for £501,000, and the rules of the show are in our Beat Luke Littler format guide.

Who is Fallon Sherrock?

Fallon Suzanne Michelle Sherrock is an English darts player from Milton Keynes. She is 32, born on 2 July 1994, and has played competitively since around 2010, moving through the BDO and WDF before establishing herself in the PDC.

She is the best-known women’s player of her generation, and the reason is a single tournament rather than a single title. She worked as a hairdresser before darts became her living, and she is a mother.

Why is she called the Queen of the Palace?

Because of what she did at Alexandra Palace in December 2019. Sherrock beat Ted Evetts in the first round of the PDC World Championship, becoming the first woman to win a match at the event. She then beat Mensur Suljovic in the second round and reached the third, where she lost to Chris Dobey.

No woman had won a match at the World Championship before her. It made her a household name in a sport that had spent decades arguing about whether a woman could compete with the men, and the nickname stuck immediately.

Does Fallon Sherrock have a PDC Tour Card?

No. She does not hold a PDC Tour Card, and that single fact explains most of the oddities in her career.

She tried to win one at Q-School for the 2026 season and did not, losing four matches in a row. Without a card she has no automatic entry to the Pro Tour, which means no Players Championship events by right and no Tour Card Holder Qualifiers for the big televised tournaments. She plays the PDC Women’s Series instead, plus invitations and qualifiers.

Beau Greaves, who won a card through the Development Tour, is the only woman on the Pro Tour in 2026. Lisa Ashton held one before her. Sherrock has never had one, despite being the player most responsible for the women’s game being taken seriously.

So is she on the PDC Order of Merit?

No, and the cause is a rule rather than a gap in her record. Prize money won in ranking tournaments does count towards the Order of Merit, and Sherrock has won some: £25,000 at the 2020 World Championship put her 91st on the list at the time. What removes it now is the reset applied after Q-School each year: every player outside the top 64 starts on £0 on each Order of Merit, the only exception being a player in the second year of a Tour Card, which she does not hold. Her £15,000 from the 2026 World Championship has been struck out for exactly that reason, which is why her Order of Merit figure reads zero.

The Tour Card is the thing behind the rule. Without one she has no automatic place on the Pro Tour, so no Players Championship events by right and no Tour Card Holder Qualifiers for the televised majors. Her route runs through the Women’s Series, invitations and qualifiers, which is enough to keep her in the World Championship field and near the top of the women’s rankings, but not enough to hold a place on the main list from one season to the next.

What did she win on Friday night?

£501,000, by beating Luke Littler in one leg of 501 on Beat Luke Littler, Netflix’s live show from Manchester Central on Friday 30 October.

She won a public vote against Jarod Becker with 75 per cent to earn the leg, won the bull, opened with a ton, hit a 180 to leave 43 and took out 43. It was a 15-darter. Because the show ends the moment a challenger wins, the event stopped there and the challengers still waiting never threw.

How much is £501,000 in context?

It is more than the £400,000 that goes to the runner-up at the World Championship, and it took fifteen darts. The World Championship winner at Alexandra Palace in January collects £1,000,000, but that comes after a three-week tournament.

What makes it unusual is the ratio of work to reward. Fifteen darts, one leg, no opponent to beat twice.

Is she the first woman to beat a man at the World Championship?

Yes. Sherrock beat Ted Evetts 3–2 in the first round at Alexandra Palace in December 2019, the first time a woman had won a match at the PDC World Championship. She followed it by beating Mensur Suljovic in the next round.

She remains the only woman to have won a match there. Her run to the third round, the last 32, is still the furthest any woman has gone at the event.

What else has she won?

Sherrock won the inaugural Women’s World Matchplay in 2022, beating Aileen de Graaf in the final. She has won 21 PDC Women’s Series titles, the second-most behind Greaves.

She was runner-up to Greaves in the Women’s World Matchplay in July 2026, losing 6–5 in Blackpool. In 2021 she became the first woman to reach the quarter-finals of a major PDC ranking event at the Grand Slam of Darts, where she beat Mike de Decker, Gabriel Clemens and Mensur Suljovic before losing 16–13 to Peter Wright.

She hit the first nine-darter by a woman in a PDC event in March 2023, on the Challenge Tour against Marco Verhofstad. In 2020 she was a Premier League challenger, drawing 6–6 with Glen Durrant in Nottingham.

Will she play at the World Championship in December?

Yes. Sherrock qualified for the 2026/27 World Championship by finishing third on the PDC Women’s Series Order of Merit. It will be her seventh appearance at Alexandra Palace. The tournament runs from 11 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.

Three places normally go to the top three on the Women’s Series who have not qualified another way, plus one to the Women’s World Matchplay champion. Greaves holds both of those routes and needs neither, because she is set to go through the one-year PDC Pro Tour rankings instead. That passed two extra places down the table, and Sherrock took one of them, confirmed during the final Women’s Series weekend in Wigan in October.

Is Friday’s money ranked prize money?

No. Beat Luke Littler is an exhibition, not a ranking event, so the £501,000 does not count towards any Order of Merit and does not move her into the PDC rankings. It is a prize, not a ranking.
