Wednesday’s finish followed perfect legs against Damon Heta at the Austrian Darts Open in May and Ian White at Players Championship 29 in September.

Reyes followed his opening victory with another 6-1 win, this time against Cam Crabtree. That took him into the last 32 after winning 12 of the 14 legs he had played.
Michael van Gerwen then ended his challenge with a 6-5 victory. Their match went the full 11 legs, with the Dutchman taking the decider, according to the recorded results.
Van Gerwen’s own run ended in the next round, when Kevin Doets beat him 6-2. Charlie Manby ultimately took the title with an 8-2 victory over Maik Kuivenhoven, as detailed in Sky Sports’ tournament report.
