Damon Heta

Damon Heta, known as The Heat, is an Australian darts player from Perth, Western Australia. Born in Perth on 10 August 1987, he was 21st on the PDC Order of Merit when the rankings were last published on 2 November 2026, with £432,500 in ranking prize money over the two-year period the list covers. The PDC credits him with 12 senior titles: one major, one World Series event and ten on the ProTour.

Heta reached his first PDC final at the 2019 Brisbane Darts Masters and won it, beating Rob Cross 8-7. His first ranking title came at Players Championship 15 in 2020, where he beat Joe Cullen 8-4. In 2022 he won the World Cup of Darts for Australia alongside Simon Whitlock, beating Gerwyn Price 4-0 in the final, and took his first European Tour title at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy with an 8-7 win over Peter Wright. At the 2024 UK Open he beat Luke Littler 10-8 in the quarter-finals before an 11-6 semi-final defeat to Dimitri Van den Bergh. His most recent ranking titles came in 2025, at Players Championship 13, where he beat Nathan Aspinall 8-6, and Players Championship 20, where he beat Stephen Bunting 8-7.

In July 2026 he reached the final of Players Championship 25, losing 8-4 to Henry Coates. In October he reached the quarter-finals of the Dutch Darts Championship, beating Jonny Clayton 6-1 and Martin Schindler 6-4 before a 6-3 defeat to Stephen Bunting, and at the European Championship he beat James Wade 6-5 before losing 10-7 to Ross Smith in the last 16. The PDC records three nine-dart finishes for him across all of its events. He throws 23-gram Harrows darts and walks on to "Dancing in the Dark" by Bruce Springsteen.
