Liverpool squad for LASK: Isak, Gakpo and Szoboszlai out

Liverpool’s squad for LASK is missing Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai, with Jayden Danns included for Wednesday’s Champions League trip.

The club have confirmed a 23-man travelling group that departed for Austria on Tuesday lunchtime.

All three absentees also missed Sunday’s 3–0 Premier League defeat by Manchester City. Their continued absence leaves Andoni Iraola without several established attacking options as Liverpool prepare for their second league-phase fixture.

Liverpool squad for LASK includes Danns

Danns joins Lewis Koumas, Rio Ngumoha and Josh Sonni-Lambie among the forwards available to Iraola.

Bradley Barcola and Florian Wirtz have also travelled, while captain Virgil van Dijk is included in the defensive group.

Liverpool are due to train at the Raiffeisen Arena after Iraola’s pre-match press conference in Linz.

Isak has been recovering from a thigh injury sustained on international duty, while Gakpo has an ankle problem. Szoboszlai missed the City match with a minor hamstring injury.

Iraola had already warned after Sunday’s defeat that the short turnaround would make it difficult for the injured players to return.

Gravenberch available despite Manchester City red card

Ryan Gravenberch is also in the travelling party despite his dismissal against City.

The midfielder’s one-match suspension applies to the Premier League, meaning he will miss Saturday’s visit to Brentford rather than the European fixture.

His availability gives Iraola another midfield option alongside Alexis Mac Allister, Trey Nyoni and James McConnell.

Wednesday’s match starts at 5.45pm BST. Our LASK vs Liverpool TV guide has the full UK channel and streaming details.
