England 3-0 Czech Republic: Kane double marks record cap

Harry Kane marked his record-equalling 125th England appearance with two goals as Thomas Tuchel’s side beat Czech Republic 3–0 at Wembley.

The captain drew level with Peter Shilton’s men’s appearance record and took his international goals tally to 91 as England finished their four-match Nations League camp with a third successive victory.

Vladimir Coufal’s own goal put the hosts ahead before Kane scored either side of half-time.

Kane helped create the opener when his low cross from the right was diverted into the net by Coufal.

The Bayern Munich striker then scored in the 40th and 57th minutes to secure the victory on the night he reached the England appearance milestone.

His contribution ensured England followed Saturday’s 7–0 win in Croatia with another clean sheet and three points.

Tuchel had brought Trent Alexander-Arnold, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Morgan Rogers and Eberechi Eze into the starting side for the final match of the extended international break.

Three wins to finish the international break

England end the camp with nine points from four matches, having responded to their opening defeat by Spain with victories over Czech Republic, Croatia and Czech Republic again.

They scored 14 goals across those four games and kept clean sheets in each of the final three.

England next host Croatia at Wembley on Thursday 12 November, according to the FA’s fixture listing.

That match offers Kane his next opportunity to move clear of Shilton and become England’s outright men’s appearance record-holder.
