Cole Palmer has signed a new Chelsea contract until 2034, extending his long-term commitment to the club.
The 24-year-old has registered 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances for the Blues and helped them win the Conference League and Club World Cup.
His previous agreement, announced in August 2024, ran until 2033. The latest deal therefore adds another year to the expiry date Chelsea had previously confirmed.
Cole Palmer explains new Chelsea contract
“Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction,” Palmer told the club’s official website.
He said conversations with the owners, sporting directors and manager had strengthened his confidence in signing, while pointing to the squad’s shared ambition to win major trophies.
Palmer has scored four goals and supplied two assists in Chelsea’s opening seven matches this season.
He is also approaching another individual milestone, with his next Premier League goal set to be his 50th for Chelsea.
Bournemouth return follows contract announcement
The announcement comes before Chelsea host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Xabi Alonso has said Palmer is feeling better after a groin problem forced him to withdraw from England duty during the international break.
Chelsea’s preparations have also included friendly minutes for Moises Caicedo against Portsmouth as the midfielder worked towards his own return.
