Bukayo Saka Injury: Arsenal Winger Limps Off Against Bayern Munich

Bukayo Saka has handed Arsenal an injury concern after limping off early in their Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

The England winger was unable to continue at the Allianz Arena, forcing Mikel Arteta into an early change on Wednesday evening.

Saka clutched his thigh before leaving the pitch, with Eberechi Eze replacing him in the 10th minute, according to the Guardian’s live commentary.

Bukayo Saka injury: what is known so far?

The nature and severity of the problem have not yet been confirmed. There is no established recovery timetable or confirmation that Saka will miss any subsequent matches.

His withdrawal alone does not establish whether he has suffered a muscle injury or how long he could be unavailable.

Arsenal had started Saka alongside Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz in attack for the trip to Munich. Eze’s introduction gives Arteta another creative option, but the immediate concern is Saka’s condition.

Any assessment from Arteta after the match will provide the next update on whether further checks are needed.
