Our Bournemouth vs Sunderland predicted lineups include Brian Brobbey up front for the visitors, with Wilson Isidor facing a fitness assessment and Thomas Meunier ruled out.

Bournemouth also have returning attackers to consider after Justin Kluivert and Amine Adli became available again.

The teams meet at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday 18 October, with kick-off at 2pm BST, following European victories for both clubs on Thursday.

Our Bournemouth vs Sunderland TV and live-stream guide has the viewing details.

Bournemouth team news: Kluivert and Adli increase Rose’s options

Marco Rose has more attacking choices after Bournemouth confirmed Kluivert and Adli were available for the Sturm Graz fixture.

Both appeared from the bench on Thursday, putting them back into contention for domestic action.

Our prediction retains David Brooks, Rayan and Marcus Tavernier behind Evanilson, although Kluivert’s return creates competition for the central attacking position.

Rayan made his own case by scoring after coming on in the 3–0 victory over Sturm Graz. Evanilson and Alvaro Rodriguez were also on target.

The short turnaround gives Rose another reason to consider changes, but returning to the squad does not necessarily mean Kluivert or Adli will immediately start.

Alex Scott’s progress does not mean an immediate return

Bournemouth have received encouraging news about Alex Scott’s recovery from a thigh injury, but Sunday’s match remains too soon.

As explained in our update on Scott’s rehabilitation, Rose said the midfielder was progressing better than expected while cautioning against an immediate comeback.

Tyler Adams and Ryan Christie are our predicted midfield pairing.

Adam Smith gets the nod at right-back, with James Hill and Antonio Silva selected centrally and Adrien Truffert on the left.

Sunderland team news: Meunier out, Isidor uncertain

Regis Le Bris has confirmed Meunier will miss the trip after his injury against Brighton.

Isidor has not been ruled out, but remains a significant doubt after missing the European trip to Portugal, according to the Shields Gazette’s report of Le Bris’ latest update.

There is better news concerning Brobbey and Habib Diarra. Both trained with the squad and were unused substitutes against Torreense, leaving them in contention for Sunday.

Brobbey is our provisional choice to lead the attack. That assumes he is ready for a starting role following his absence, rather than simply another place on the bench.

Chemsdine Talbi is our selection on the right in Meunier’s absence, with Enzo Le Fee and Nilson Angulo completing the support behind Brobbey.

Noah Sadiki, who scored Sunderland’s late European winner, is predicted to partner Granit Xhaka in midfield.

Bournemouth vs Sunderland predicted lineups

Bournemouth predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Smith, Hill, Antonio Silva, Truffert; Adams, Christie; Brooks, Rayan, Tavernier; Evanilson.

Sunderland predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Roefs; Hume, Mukiele, Danso, Reinildo; Sadiki, Xhaka; Talbi, Le Fee, Angulo; Brobbey.

These are predicted selections. Brobbey’s readiness to start and Isidor’s fitness remain important considerations, while both managers must assess recovery from Thursday’s matches.
