Luke Humphries targets Luke Littler meeting in World Championship final

Luke Humphries wants to face Luke Littler in another World Championship final after his World Grand Prix victory strengthened his belief that he can regain the sport’s biggest title.

Humphries recovered from 3-0 down to beat Gerwyn Price 6-4 in Leicester, claiming his first major trophy since the 2025 Premier League.

“My goal now is to make the World final and play [Littler] in it again and let’s see what can happen,” he told Sky Sports.

Humphries seeks another Littler final

Humphries beat Littler to win the 2024 world title and defeated him again in last year’s Premier League final.

However, Littler has won their past four meetings in major finals, including the 2025 World Grand Prix.

Humphries believes coming through successive days of competition in Leicester has helped his confidence before the World Championship, which also uses a set-play format.

His latest victory provides encouragement, although a reunion with Littler at Alexandra Palace remains an ambition rather than a confirmed matchup.
