Meet the hosts

AI Dave aka All In Dave

Co-host · AI presenter

AI Dave is Dave.Sport's AI presenter: a quick-witted Londoner who's always all in on sport. He leads the show, reads the results and argues his corner in the big talking point. Every word he says is written with AI from the Dave.Sport newsroom's articles and official match data, then fact-checked; his voice is AI-generated. You'll also hear him calling the goals live in the AI Live Football Studio.

Jo Leaney a real person

Co-host · Director & Producer

Jo directs and produces the Dave.Sport Originals Daily Sports News Bulletin and co-hosts it every morning alongside AI Dave. A lifelong football fan and, for her sins, a West Ham supporter, she's a regular with the Hammers home and away, and swaps the Premier League for non-league football at Chatham Town whenever she can.

Jo signs off every bulletin. On air, her voice is an AI clone of her own, used with her permission.

Full transcript

Good morning

AI Dave: Good morning! It's Saturday the twenty-fourth of October, and this is the Dave dot Sport Originals Daily Sports News Bulletin. I'm A.I. Dave!

Jo: And I'm Jo. Dave sounds all in already, and it's not even lunchtime.

AI Dave: All in, always! Today: Bukayo Saka is out for Arsenal, Ipswich and Forest shared the points, and there's talk about Man United's manager.

Jo: Plus Middlesbrough put five past Bolton. Five!

The headlines

AI Dave: Let's start with Arsenal. Saka will miss today's game against Everton, and they're waiting on more scans to find out how long he's out.

Jo: That's a blow. Arteta said he's struggling to walk without pain and called them "not good signs". Did you see that coming?

AI Dave: Not at all. He went off after ten minutes in Munich, and Eze came on and scored. Silver lining, maybe?

Jo: Maybe. Don't tell Arteta I said so.

AI Dave: Next, Ipswich one, Forest one at Portman Road. Enciso levelled after Milenkovic's underhit back-pass, and Forest stopped a run of three straight defeats.

Jo: But still no win in four, and Leif Davis made two crucial goal-line interventions. Forest must be sick of the sight of him.

AI Dave: Then Man United. The Guardian reports Jason Wilcox's preferred option, if they ever change manager, is Eddie Howe.

Jo: Big if, though. Carrick is expected to stay in charge against Bournemouth tomorrow, and he's already said United have "lost our way a little bit". Honest, isn't he?

AI Dave: Refreshingly. One win in seven league games, though. That's the problem.

Jo: And Tottenham have Porro back for Chelsea tonight, but Maddison and Kulusevski are still doubts.

Results round-up

AI Dave: Now yesterday's results. Premier League first: Ipswich Town one, Nottingham Forest one.

Jo: Neco Williams put Forest ahead on thirteen minutes, Julio Enciso equalised on forty-one. That Williams goal was only Forest's sixth league goal of the season.

AI Dave: Sixth! Come on!

Jo: I know. Ouch. Right, Championship, and this is the fun one.

AI Dave: Bolton Wanderers one, Middlesbrough five! Aidan Morris got the first on thirteen, Will Lankshear made it two on thirty-one, and then Lewis Brunt put through his own net.

Jo: Theo Bair pulled one back for Bolton on the stroke of half-time. Hope for about thirty minutes, then Cozier-Duberry made it four and Lankshear got his second.

AI Dave: Lankshear with a brace! Be honest, Jo, did you have Boro scoring five at Bolton?

Jo: I did not! I'd have taken the own goal at fifty-to-one, if I'd been allowed to say that.

AI Dave: Nice save. Moving on.

The big talking point

AI Dave: Right, big talking point. With Saka out, who plays on Arsenal's right today? I'm going Eze. He came on in Munich and scored the opener.

Jo: Dave, no. Madueke scored the winner at Forest last weekend. Eze's more of a left-sided option for me, and Madueke on the right is the natural fit.

AI Dave: But Eze's in form! He scored the moment he got on the pitch!

Jo: And Madueke switched from left to right in Munich after Saka went off. He's already done the job. Am I wrong?

AI Dave: Okay, the predicted line-up has Madueke right and Eze left, so you're not wrong.

Jo: I'm never wrong. Write that down.

AI Dave: Listeners, let us know who's right. I'm all in on Eze, whatever happens.

Jo: You're all in on everything, Dave. That's the problem.

Around the sports

Jo: Rugby! Premiership Rugby, round four. Newcastle Red Bulls beat Sale Sharks seventeen-three at Kingston Park, and all their points came after the break.

AI Dave: Wade and McGuigan got the tries. And Gloucester beat Bath twenty-three-five at Kingsholm.

Jo: Three yellow cards for Gloucester and none for Bath, and they still won comfortably. How does that work?

AI Dave: George Barton kicked three penalties. Cool head. Now, darts: the last sixteen of the European Championship starts at midday today.

Jo: Boxing too. Devin Haney and Liam Paro have reportedly agreed to a WBO and IBF welterweight unification before the end of the year in the States.

AI Dave: Good fight. And in the Women's Rugby League World Cup, Samoa beat Wales seventy-six-nil, with a hat-trick on debut for Tyra Ekepati.

Jo: Seventy-six! That's brutal.

On the box today

AI Dave: Right, what's on today. Twelve-thirty: Aston Villa against Man City, live on TNT Sports One and HBO Max. Erling Haaland is available.

Jo: Also at twelve-thirty, Charlton against Norwich on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football. The Tottenham and Arsenal women's derby is on BBC One at twelve forty-five.

AI Dave: Then three o'clock, Arsenal against Everton, plus Coventry against Fulham. A big Sky Sports Plus slate in the Championship, League One and League Two too.

Jo: And Scotland: Rangers host St. Johnstone at three. Derek McInnes says about half a dozen players have been hit by a bug.

AI Dave: Evening game: Chelsea against Tottenham, five-thirty, on Sky Sports Premier League, Main Event and NOW.

Jo: Go on then, who've you got in Villa against City?

AI Dave: Villa, in front of their own fans! All in!

Jo: City with Haaland back. Maresca confirmed he's available, so I'm calling it for them. Prove me wrong, Dave.

AI Dave: I'll try.

Sign-off

AI Dave: That's the show! Everything we've talked about is on dave dot sport.

Jo: And you can follow tonight's games live in the A.I. Live Football Studio. Right, Dave, I'm off to watch Villa and City.

AI Dave: Enjoy it! Bye for now!

Jo: Bye! Let us know who's right about Eze and Madueke.
