Fallon Sherrock and Mitchell Lawrie are among 24 challengers competing for 20 places to face Luke Littler live on Netflix on October 30th, with £501,000 for the first to win.
The Luke Littler Netflix darts special, Beat Luke Littler, will see 24 challengers compete for 20 places, and each of the 20 will throw a single leg of 501 against the two-time world champion, live from the Manchester Central Convention Complex on Friday, October 30th. The first player to beat him wins £501,000.

The field was named on Thursday, October 22nd, and Fallon Sherrock is the headline name, as reported by BBC Sport. For me, her inclusion is what turns a novelty into a proper talking point. She is the women’s world number three, she has already qualified for the World Championship in December, and she has never faced Littler over a leg before.
Beat Luke Littler: How The Netflix Special Works
Only 20 of the 24 contestants get a spot in the show, and each of them takes on Littler in one leg of 501. There is no best-of format and no second chance, so a single leg decides it.
Littler, 19, reached the 2024 PDC World Championship final at 16. He became the youngest world champion in history by winning the 2025 title at 17, and he defended it 12 months later. He is not treating the night as a stroll.
“There’s half a million quid up for grabs, I won’t be going easy at all!” Littler said, in comments released by Sky Sports. “Maybe the first few legs could be a bit nervy, but once I get going then I don’t think anyone will stop me.”
Fallon Sherrock vs Luke Littler: A First Meeting
Sherrock became the first woman to win a match at the PDC World Championship when she beat Ted Evetts in 2019. A year later she reached the last 32 of the 2020 event.
She has won just one PDC Women’s Series title this year, with Beau Greaves dominating the circuit. She still finished in the top five of the Women’s Series, alongside Greaves, Lisa Ashton, Gemmy Hayter and Vicky Pruim, which booked her place at the World Championship. You can see where she sits on our darts rankings page.
Who Else Is In The Field
Sherrock is the most high-profile name, but she is not the only one with a record. Two of the youngest challengers have already made history, and the rest of the field is made up of regular members of the public who play socially.
| Player | Background |
|---|---|
| Fallon Sherrock | Women’s world number three, first woman to win a PDC World Championship match (2019) |
| Mitchell Lawrie (15, Scotland) | First teenager to reach a WDF World Championship final, two-time world youth champion |
| Jayden Walker (14, England) | Won the England International Open in Selsey, beating Aaron Turner in the final, the youngest winner of a senior WDF title |
Walker’s win broke a record previously held by Littler, and it came shortly after he won the national qualifier to earn a place in the Men’s England team.
How The 24 Challengers Were Picked
Thousands of amateur players aged 12 and over entered. Each had to check out 501 in 24 darts or fewer, then went through an interview with the show’s producers.
The final stage was a judging panel led by 16-time world champion Phil Taylor, alongside Matchroom founder Barry Hearn and PDC player and TV pundit Laura Turner. Taylor was positive about the format.
“It’s a Rocky Balboa kind of fairytale really,” Taylor said, via Sky Sports. “Any player who can throw a 12-dart leg has a great chance, but it’s also about bottle as well as ability, so we’ll see.”
World Darts Championship 2027: What Comes Next
The special opens a busy run for Littler. The Grand Slam of Darts follows from November 14th to 22nd, and the World Darts Championship 2027 starts on December 11th and runs to January 3rd, both live on Sky Sports.

Jack’s Verdict
I think this is a smart piece of television, and one leg is a fairer test than it looks. Littler has admitted the first few legs could be nervy, and Taylor says a 12-dart leg gives anyone a chance, so the margin for error is tiny. Sherrock is the credible name, and Lawrie, already a world finalist at 15, is the one I would not want to face with the cameras on. Some will call it a gimmick, but with thousands applying and £501,000 on offer, it will sell darts to people who would never watch a ranking event. The best outcome is a close leg that goes down to the doubles, with Sherrock or Lawrie the one celebrating at the end.
