Harry Kane agrees Bayern extension in principle until 2029

England Captain and Bayern Munich tallisman Harry Kane has agreed in principle to extend his Bayern Munich contract until summer 2029, according to Sky Sports.

The Bundesliga champions are reportedly finalising the paperwork, with the England captain and his family settled in Munich.

The agreement remains subject to completion, with Sky reporting that details still need to be resolved before confirmation.

Harry Kane contract would extend Bayern stay by two years

Kane’s existing deal expires on 30 June 2027, as listed on Bayern’s official player profile. The reported extension would therefore add another two seasons to his stay.

The 33-year-old joined from Tottenham in August 2023 and has since won two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup.

He has also finished as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in each of his three completed seasons in Germany, collecting the European Golden Shoe in 2024 and 2026.

The contract development follows another milestone on international duty. Kane scored twice in England’s 3–0 victory over Czech Republic earlier this month, marking his 125th appearance by drawing level with Peter Shilton’s men’s caps record.

Thomas Tuchel had praised his captain’s standards on and off the pitch before that Wembley fixture.

England’s November Nations League matches offer Kane the opportunity to become the outright record-holder, while completing the Bayern extension would settle his club future beyond the current campaign.
