Piero Hincapie injury concern as Arsenal defender carried off after Leeds win

Arsenal have a fresh Piero Hincapie injury concern after the defender was carried off during the warm-down following Saturday’s 2–1 victory over Leeds United.

The Ecuador international had replaced Riccardo Calafiori in the 82nd minute. The incident happened during post-match exercises, rather than during his appearance.

The Standard reports that Hincapie appeared to hurt his ankle while taking part in running drills and needed help leaving the pitch. The severity of the problem remains unclear.
