Jean-Philippe Mateta will miss Crystal Palace’s game against Liverpool through suspension, while Pierre Sage has said Axel Disasi will be available.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool takes place at Selhurst Park on Sunday 8 November 2026, with kick-off at 2pm GMT.
Palace: Disasi boost and Mateta absence
Sage confirmed Disasi’s availability in his post-match comments on Thursday. Mateta’s domestic ban leaves a different centre-forward required, with Jørgen Strand Larsen and Eddie Nketiah among the alternatives.
The latest Palace availability list also has Chadi Riad, Ismaila Sarr and Takehiro Tomiyasu sidelined. Quinten Timber returned to the starting XI against Hoffenheim, so earlier reports treating him as an unresolved doubt need updating.
Liverpool: Gravenberch still being assessed
Ryan Gravenberch missed the trip to Fenerbahce with a heel issue. Liverpool’s pre-match squad coverage explains that he requires daily checks before Sunday.
Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike were also absent from the travelling squad. Dominik Szoboszlai was involved in Istanbul, giving Iraola another midfield option while Gravenberch’s availability remains uncertain.
Wharton’s dismissal came in the Europa League. It should not be confused with Mateta’s Premier League suspension when assessing Sunday’s selection.
