Pep Guardiola is expected to attend Manchester City’s Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain next Wednesday, according to reports.
The Times reports that the former City manager will be at the Etihad Stadium for the club’s first home fixture since an independent commission found it guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules.
Guardiola’s anticipated attendance follows public backing for the club. City deny wrongdoing and have lodged an appeal against the findings.

The Times’ report describes the planned visit as a further show of support for City.
His attendance has been reported rather than announced by the club.
City challenging commission findings
The Premier League announced on 29 September that the commission had upheld charges concerning serious financial rule breaches over nine seasons, alongside most of the charges relating to non-cooperation.
The league said sanctions would be addressed separately at a further hearing.
City confirmed their appeal was lodged on 1 October.
The club maintains its innocence and argues that the commission’s findings contain material errors of law, principle and fact.
City return to Premier League action at Liverpool on Sunday before hosting PSG on Wednesday 14 October.
