Nuno Espirito Santo says West Ham still have significant improvements to make despite the chance to move top of the Championship against QPR on Friday.
The Hammers have won three of their last four league games and would climb above their promotion rivals with victory at the London Stadium.
However, Nuno wants greater consistency from a squad reshaped by summer arrivals.
Nuno wants more from West Ham
“We have a lot of things to improve,” Nuno told Sky Sports.
The manager said West Ham had completed only one training day with the reunited squad following international duty, although he was encouraged by the returning players’ reintegration.
He also highlighted the need to balance attacking and defensive work at set-pieces.
West Ham have scored six of their 22 league goals from dead-ball situations, with Konstantinos Mavropanos contributing four goals in his last four appearances.
Chance to take top spot
Friday’s fixture offers West Ham an opportunity to set the pace before the rest of the weekend’s Championship programme.
The match kicks off at 8pm, with coverage on Sky Sports Football beginning at 7.30pm.
