Dubois: ‘I want all the belts’
Dubois made clear that fighting away from home would not change her ambition.
“I can’t wait to go into Stephanie Han’s hometown and add another world title to my collection,” she said in the announcement carried by Sky Sports.
“I want all the belts, I want the biggest fights, and I want to prove myself against the best.”
The southpaw turned professional in 2022 following an amateur career that included Youth Olympic gold and representing Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics.
She added the WBO championship to her WBC title by beating Terri Harper in April, then defended against Amelia Moore in August. Han now stands between her and a third major lightweight belt.
Dubois described the February contest as another step towards becoming undisputed, an ambition explored in our earlier report on Caroline Dubois’ world-title plans.
Stephanie Han gets hometown unification opportunity
Han won the vacant WBA lightweight championship with a first-round stoppage of Hannah Terlep in 2025 and has since made three successful defences.
Those include successive victories over Holly Holm, most recently in El Paso in May. The American now has the chance to add Dubois’ two championships to her own.
“This fight is a dream come true!” Han said. “Finally, I have the opportunity to unify titles in my division and get one step closer to becoming the undisputed queen of the lightweight division.”
A mother of two and veteran of the El Paso Police Department, Han has built a strong local following. She thanked the promoter for bringing the contest to her city and called on supporters to attend.
Will Dubois vs Han crown an undisputed champion?
No. The winner will hold the WBC, WBO and WBA lightweight titles. The IBF championship is not part of this contest, so victory would leave a further belt to collect for undisputed status.
For Dubois, it is an opportunity to strengthen her position in the division by beating another unbeaten champion. For Han, it is the chance to turn a hometown defence into a three-belt unification victory.
Sky Sports has confirmed UK prime-time coverage, but viewers should wait for the final schedule before making plans around a specific ring-walk time.
