Bristol City vs Norwich injury news brings a boost for both managers ahead of Saturday’s Championship meeting. Rob Dickie and Elijah Adebayo are available for the hosts, while Kenny McLean and Pelle Mattsson can feature for Norwich.

However, availability does not guarantee a starting place. Both clubs have decisions to make over returning players before the 12.30pm kick-off at Ashton Gate on Saturday 7 November.

Bristol City injury news: Dickie returns ahead of schedule

Dickie is back in contention after a knee injury sustained against Lincoln in September. The defender has missed seven league matches, but his recovery has progressed faster than initially expected.

“Rob is up for selection so that’s great news,” Michael Skubala told BBC Radio Bristol, as reported in Friday’s update on Dickie’s return.

Adebayo is also available following a three-match absence with a quad strain, although he is unlikely to play the full 90 minutes. Lorent Tolaj is expected to feature despite still not being fully fit.

Joe Williams is available. Luke McNally’s involvement remains a workload decision following his long-term knee injury; Skubala stressed that the defender has not suffered a new injury.

Gibson Yah and Noah Eile remain concerns for Bristol City

Gibson Yah will miss the Norwich match, with his return expected after the international break. The midfielder’s problem has lasted longer than the club initially hoped.

Bristol Live’s injury report also listed Noah Eile as unavailable through illness. Friday’s confirmed returns for Dickie and Adebayo therefore provide welcome options elsewhere in the squad.

Norwich injury news: McLean and Mattsson travel

Philippe Clement has confirmed that McLean and Mattsson have returned to training and will travel with Norwich.

Both can play some part, but Clement will make his decisions on the starting team and bench on Saturday. Their return gives him more midfield options without committing him to changing his starting XI.

“But they’re both available for at least some minutes,” Clement said in Hayters’ report on Norwich’s double fitness boost.

Ante Crnac is also continuing to rebuild his fitness after returning to action. Clement said he is making progress but has more work to do before reaching his previous level.

Who is missing for Norwich against Bristol City?

Mohamed Toure, Papa Amadou Diallo and Ali Ahmed remain unavailable, according to Sports Mole’s Norwich team news.

Gabe Forsyth has also experienced a setback during his recovery. Reporting summarising the Eastern Daily Press update says a scan found no cause for concern, but he should not be treated as a confirmed return for Saturday.
