PDC 2027 Calendar: France Debut and European Open Confirmed

The PDC 2027 calendar brings a historic debut event in France, the new European Open in Salzburg, and an expanded European Championship.

PDC 2027 Calendar: France Debut and European Open Confirmed

The PDC European Tour will visit France for the first time in 2027, with Lievin hosting the fourth event of the 15-event season from March 19-21. The date sits inside the newly released 2027 PDC calendar, confirmed by the PDC on Friday alongside a full breakdown of next year’s fixtures.

PDC Confirms Historic French Debut for 2027 European Tour

Lievin becomes the first French venue to host a PDC European Tour event, a landmark moment for the sport’s growth on the continent. The stop lands early in the season, giving French fans their first taste of ranking darts on home soil.

PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter called it a milestone moment. “Taking the European Tour to France for the first time is an exciting development for us. We’ve seen the circuit continue to grow into new territories in recent years and we’re looking forward to visiting Lievin in March,” he said.

PDC Announces Salzburg Debut and Season Launch Dates

Salzburg will host the inaugural European Open from June 18-20, 2027, adding another new city to the calendar. Porter described it as a significant step for the tour’s expansion.

“The introduction of the European Open in Salzburg is another significant addition to the calendar and further strengthens what is already a fantastic schedule of events throughout the year,” he said.

The season itself begins in England and Germany. Qualifying Schools open the campaign in Milton Keynes and Kalkar from January 4-10, setting the field for the year ahead before the ranking events get underway.

Expanded European Championship Shapes 2027 Schedule

The European Championship in Dortmund grows to six days in 2027, running from October 26-31. It is the standout change to the established televised events and reflects the PDC’s wider push into new markets.

Porter framed the whole calendar as evidence of that growth. “The 2027 calendar is another reflection of the continued growth of the PDC circuit and we’re delighted to be taking our events to more fans across Europe,” he said. Porter summed up the season ahead in his closing remarks on the announcement. “With 15 European Tour events alongside our established televised tournaments and a busy ProTour schedule, 2027 promises to be another exciting year for our players and fans,” he said.
