Pedro Neto leads our Chelsea player ratings vs Everton after scoring both goals and supplying five key passes in a 2-0 victory at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Portugal international broke the deadlock immediately after half-time, finishing from Jorrel Hato’s delivery, before adding the second in the 90th minute.

Emiliano Martínez also made an important contribution before his afternoon ended through injury, while Cole Palmer was involved in the attacking work behind João Pedro.

Chelsea finished with 18 shots to Everton’s six and secured their first Premier League clean sheet since January. Our confirmed line-ups article has the full teams and benches.

Chelsea player ratings vs Everton

Emiliano Martínez — 7.5

Made four saves before being replaced by Mike Penders in the 75th minute. His work helped Chelsea reach half-time level and protected their advantage after the restart. Stretchered off following a collision with Jarrad Branthwaite, bringing a concerning end to a productive performance.

Josh Acheampong — 6.5

Booked for a challenge on Jack Grealish and later allowed Tyrique George to win possession and force a corner. Also contributed going forward, delivering a dangerous second-half cross. A useful afternoon overall, with moments that required greater care.

Maxence Lacroix — 7

Played the full match as Chelsea restricted Everton to six attempts and 0.45 expected goals. Those numbers provide encouraging context for the clean sheet and support a solid mark for his contribution to the defensive unit.

Levi Colwill — 7

Shared in a much-needed defensive result, completing the game without Chelsea conceding. Maintaining that outcome through the goalkeeper change and a lengthy period of added time was an important part of the victory.

Pedro Neto — 9 — Player of the match

The decisive player. Scored in the 46th and 90th minutes, with the timing of each goal particularly valuable: the first changed the game immediately after the interval; the second gave Chelsea breathing space.

His five key passes also underline how much he offered beyond finishing. Chelsea’s most effective combination of scoring threat and chance creation, despite a first-half booking.

Moisés Caicedo — 7

Came close to a spectacular opener when his first-half volley struck the woodwork. His partnership with Henderson gave Chelsea a midfield platform, although the challenge that conceded the free-kick before Martínez’s injury was avoidable.

Jordan Henderson — 7

Delivered the corner from which Caicedo hit the woodwork and worked alongside the Ecuador international through the contest. A less spectacular contribution than his two-goal performance against Bournemouth, but another useful involvement in a Chelsea win.

Jorrel Hato — 7

Provided the assist for the opening goal after advancing down the left. That contribution mattered in a game Chelsea had struggled to unlock before half-time. His involvement also demonstrated the value of an additional runner arriving outside the attacking players.

Cole Palmer — 7.5

Continued to offer an attacking outlet and won the late free-kick from which Chelsea eventually scored their second. Had opportunities to finish himself, including a second-half attempt over the bar, and received a booking. An influential afternoon with room for greater efficiency.
