Our Fulham vs Hull City predicted lineups retain Ryan Sessegnon at left-back despite Antonee Robinson’s return to availability, while the visitors must replace the injured Nobel Mendy.

Fulham host Hull at Craven Cottage on Saturday 17 October, with kick-off at 3pm BST, as Alvaro Arbeloa seeks his side’s first Premier League victory of the season.

Hull arrive after drawing 2–2 with Everton, but injuries have reduced Sergej Jakirovic’s defensive options.

Our Fulham vs Hull City viewing guide explains the broadcast restrictions and where to watch highlights.

Fulham team news: Robinson available, Larsson a doubt

Robinson is available again after missing the defeat at Ipswich, giving Arbeloa a decision at left-back.

According to Fulham’s official pre-match press conference report, Hugo Larsson is the remaining fitness concern because of a groin problem. Arbeloa said the rest of his players were available.

That updates the earlier picture around Robinson and Tom Cairney, who should no longer be listed as injury doubts on the basis of last week’s information.

Availability does not guarantee an immediate start, however. Our prediction keeps Sessegnon in the team, with Robinson providing an alternative.

Sander Berge and Shea Charles are our midfield selections, while Josh King gets the nod in the advanced role behind Gonzalo Garcia.

Oscar Bobb and Alex Iwobi complete the projected attacking support. Emile Smith Rowe offers another option if Arbeloa decides to change that combination.

Hull team news: Mendy and Targett unavailable

Hull must reorganise without Mendy, who has a groin injury, while Matt Targett faces a longer spell out with an ankle problem.

As detailed in our report on Hull’s double defensive setback, Targett is expected to miss around two months, with Mendy facing approximately two weeks out.

Lucas Herrington is our choice to join Semi Ajayi and John Egan in the back three. Lewie Coyle and Ryan Giles are predicted to provide the width.

Mohamed-Ali Cho, Lucas Gourna-Douath, Charlie Hughes and Jack Butland also remain unavailable, as outlined in Fulham’s official match preview.

Belloumi tipped to return to the starting team

Mohamed Belloumi was used from the bench against Everton after reporting fatigue following international duty.

His equaliser strengthened the case for a recall, and he is our predicted selection on the right of midfield, with Sorba Thomas on the opposite side.

Matt Crooks and Regan Slater would operate centrally, while Oli McBurnie leads the attack.

That selection gives Hull an outlet through McBurnie and players capable of supporting him from wide positions, although Joe Gelhardt provides another attacking option.

Fulham vs Hull City predicted lineups

Fulham predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Affengruber, Bassey, Sessegnon; Berge, Charles; Bobb, King, Iwobi; Garcia.

Hull City predicted XI (5-4-1): Tzolakis; Coyle, Ajayi, Egan, Herrington, Giles; Belloumi, Crooks, Slater, Thomas; McBurnie.

These are predicted selections rather than confirmed teams. Robinson’s return gives Fulham a choice at left-back, while Hull’s defensive changes are driven by their injury absences.
