Luke Humphries will face Jonny Clayton in the Swiss Darts Trophy final after the pair came through Sunday evening’s semi-finals in Basel.

Humphries ended Mensur Suljovic’s run to book his place in the decider, while Clayton beat Gian van Veen 7–4.

The winner will collect £35,000, with £15,000 for the runner-up. The final is played over the best of 15 legs, meaning eight are needed to lift the trophy.

Clayton averages 105 to reach Swiss Darts Trophy final

Clayton produced a three-dart average of 105 against Van Veen to complete his third victory of the day.

The Welshman had beaten Rob Cross 6–4 in the afternoon before overcoming Karel Sedlacek 6–2 in the quarter-finals.

Van Veen reached their semi-final after edging Bradley Brooks 6–5, but could not get past Clayton.

Humphries had earlier delivered one of the tournament’s outstanding performances, averaging 114.15 in a 6–0 victory over Krzysztof Ratajski.

He followed that with a 6–3 quarter-final win over Cristo Reyes before defeating Suljovic to secure his place alongside Clayton. The results are listed in Dartsnews’ tournament draw and schedule.
