Leeds 1-0 Tottenham: Okafor makes an immediate impact
The decisive moment followed a double substitution from Leeds. Harry Wilson replaced Ao Tanaka in the 77th minute, while Okafor came on for Nmecha.
Two minutes later, Okafor scored the only goal. He was booked a minute afterwards, but his contribution proved enough to secure all three points.
Tottenham responded by introducing Luca Jamie Williams-Barnett for Mohammed Kudus in the 83rd minute. Leeds subsequently brought on Joe Rodon and Ilia Gruev for Jayden Bogle and Sean Longstaff in the third minute of added time as they protected their lead.
Leeds create more despite Tottenham possession
Analysis: Tottenham’s greater share of possession did not translate into the better chances. Leeds registered more than three times as many shots and accounted for all four big chances recorded in the match.
The shots-on-target count was closer, at four to three, but Spurs’ five attempts overall reflected their limited attacking output.

Tottenham changes fail to produce a breakthrough
Spurs made their first substitution before half-time, with Dominic Solanke replacing Mathys Tel in the 43rd minute. Leeds changed at the interval, introducing Melvin Bard for Gabriel Gudmundsson.
Tottenham then made a triple change in the 65th minute. Conor Gallagher replaced Pedro Porro, Dejan Kulusevski came on for Omar Marmoush and Rodrigo Bentancur replaced Mateus Fernandes.
Those changes did not produce a goal, and Okafor’s arrival at the other end ultimately decided the match.
Micky van de Ven, Porro and Sandro Tonali were booked for Tottenham, alongside head coach Roberto De Zerbi. Longstaff and Okafor received Leeds’ yellow cards. There were no dismissals.
