West Brom vs Millwall injury news brings mixed fortunes for James Morrison, with captain George Campbell ruled out but Kareem Tunde available again for Saturday’s Championship match.

Millwall also face defensive disruption. Tristan Crama and Ryan Leonard are expected to miss the trip to The Hawthorns, leaving Alex Neil short of options at right-back.

The match kicks off at 3pm UK time on Saturday 7 November.

George Campbell injury: Albion captain out for 10 to 12 days

Campbell suffered a groin injury during Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Southampton and was replaced at half-time by Nat Phillips.

Morrison has confirmed that the defender will miss Millwall’s visit, with an estimated recovery period of 10 to 12 days. The international break gives Albion hope that he will miss only one club fixture.

“Hopefully it’ll just be one game,” Morrison said in the latest update on Campbell’s injury.

That remains an expectation rather than a guaranteed return date. Phillips is the likely replacement alongside Chris Mepham, having taken over during the Southampton match.

Kareem Tunde return gives West Brom another option

Tunde is available for selection after missing the Southampton draw with a minor foot problem.

His return gives Morrison another attacking option, although availability does not establish that he will start. The winger had been injured during the closing stages of the previous game against West Ham.

Toby Collyer and Mikey Johnston remain unavailable. Collyer has a hamstring injury, while Johnston is recovering from an ankle problem, as detailed in the Express & Star’s assessment of Albion’s squad.

Millwall injury news: Crama and Leonard expected to miss out

Crama picked up an ankle injury during Millwall’s victory over Derby County, while Leonard has been struggling with a knee problem. Both missed Tuesday’s defeat at Birmingham.

Reporting on Millwall’s defensive injuries indicates that neither is expected to feature against Albion.

Jordi Osei-Tutu started at right-back at St Andrew’s and is an option to continue there. Neil has not confirmed his starting XI for Saturday.

Casper De Norre, Mathis Servais, Filip Marschall and Lukas Jensen are also expected to be unavailable, according to Southwark News’s latest pre-match report.

Coburn and Arconte have returned to the squad

Josh Coburn and Tairyk Arconte should not be treated as confirmed injury absentees. Both were named among the substitutes at Birmingham, with Millwall explicitly confirming Arconte’s return from injury.

The club’s official team announcement also identified Jenson Metcalfe as injured for that match. His availability for West Brom has not been confirmed in the updates checked.

Returning to a matchday squad does not necessarily mean a player is ready for 90 minutes, so Coburn’s and Arconte’s roles remain selection decisions for Neil.

What the absences mean for Saturday

Analysis: Campbell’s absence forces Albion to change their central defence, while Millwall’s problems affect the right side of their back line. Both managers will need their replacement defenders to settle quickly.

Tunde’s availability gives Morrison more flexibility in attack. For Neil, having Coburn and Arconte back increases his choices, but the continuing absences still restrict how much he can rotate.
