QPR vs Lincoln injury news leaves both clubs with attacking decisions before Saturday’s Championship match at Loftus Road. Rangers are without Alfie Lloyd and Rumarn Burrell, while Lincoln striker Ben House serves a one-match suspension.
The visitors are hopeful of welcoming players back, with Mikkel Ladefoged, Ethan Wheatley and Conor McGrandles in contention to return. None should yet be treated as a confirmed starter.
Kick-off is at 3pm UK time on Saturday 7 November.
QPR injury news: Alfie Lloyd faces lengthy absence
Lloyd suffered a hamstring injury after coming off the bench in QPR’s 4-1 defeat at Southampton. Head coach Julien Stéphan has indicated that the forward could struggle to play again before the end of 2026.
“It will probably be difficult for him to come back before the end of the year,” Stéphan said, as reported by Hayters via LiveScore.
The assessment points to an extended absence, although QPR have not announced a specific comeback date.
Madsen, Burrell and Lamptey remain unavailable
Nicolas Madsen, Rumarn Burrell and Tariq Lamptey are expected to return after the November international break rather than for Lincoln’s visit.
Amadou Mbengue is also unavailable following an ACL injury. Jake Clarke-Salter missed the Burnley game and remains a fitness doubt ahead of Saturday.
There is more encouraging news on Richard Koné. Despite appearing to struggle physically during the 1-1 draw with Burnley, the striker is expected to be available, according to Sports Mole’s pre-match team news.
| QPR player | Status against Lincoln |
|---|---|
| Alfie Lloyd | Out – hamstring injury |
| Amadou Mbengue | Out – ACL injury |
| Nicolas Madsen | Out – return anticipated after the international break |
| Rumarn Burrell | Out – return anticipated after the international break |
| Tariq Lamptey | Out – return anticipated after the international break |
| Jake Clarke-Salter | Doubtful |
| Richard Koné | Expected to be available |
Lincoln City injury news: Three possible returns
Lincoln head coach Chris Cohen is hopeful Ladefoged can rejoin the travelling squad after the striker missed Tuesday’s defeat at Watford while following concussion protocols.
Wheatley has returned to training following his own spell on the sidelines. McGrandles is another possible addition after missing the Birmingham and Watford matches with a knee problem.
The Linc’s report from Cohen’s pre-match update confirms that McGrandles has been back on grass, but his availability remains unsettled.
An earlier scan offered reassurance. Cohen told The Stacey West that it had not revealed significant damage to the midfielder’s knee.
That is encouraging for his recovery, but it does not establish that he is ready to start at Loftus Road.
Ben House suspension adds to Lincoln’s selection problems
House is unavailable after collecting his fifth yellow card of the Championship season at Watford. He serves a one-game ban, separate from Lincoln’s injury concerns.
Tendayi Darikwa and Mason Melia also remain listed as injured absentees in the pre-match reporting.
| Lincoln player | Status against QPR |
|---|---|
| Ben House | Suspended – five yellow cards |
| Tendayi Darikwa | Out – injured |
| Mason Melia | Out – injured |
| Mikkel Ladefoged | Possible return after concussion protocols |
| Ethan Wheatley | Back in training; availability to be confirmed |
| Conor McGrandles | Possible return following knee injury |
What the absences mean for QPR vs Lincoln
Analysis: Koné’s expected availability is important for QPR with Lloyd and Burrell missing. Stéphan has fewer alternatives in attack, making the balance between selecting his strongest side and managing players’ fitness particularly important.
Lincoln’s options depend on their final assessments. House’s suspension creates a definite vacancy, but neither a return to training nor an optimistic injury update guarantees that Ladefoged or Wheatley can immediately play a full match.
McGrandles would add another midfield option if cleared. Until the teams are announced, Lincoln’s potential returns remain possibilities rather than confirmed changes.
