Arsenal return to Premier League action against Hull with results going their way, but Mikel Arteta’s criticism of the display in Prague gives Saturday’s game a sharper edge.

Arsenal vs Hull takes place at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday 7 November 2026, with kick-off at 3pm GMT.

Arsenal’s challenge is to sustain control

The Gunners followed their 1-0 win at Liverpool with a 2-1 victory at Slavia Prague. They were comfortable before half-time in Czechia, then needed goal-line clearances and a David Raya save to withstand the home response.

Hull can take encouragement from that second half. The visitors’ opportunity is to stay in the match long enough for pressure to build, rather than allow Arsenal an early lead and room to dictate the tempo.

Hull need to turn resistance into a threat

Hull have drawn five of their first nine league matches. Their latest 2-2 draw against Ipswich left them 11th, while Arsenal lead the division with 24 points.

For Arsenal, the attacking question is how to follow Viktor Gyökeres’s goal and assist in Prague. Kai Havertz remains another strong option, with the choice affecting how directly the hosts can play into the penalty area.

Dave.sport prediction

Arsenal 2-0 Hull. We expect home pressure to tell. Hull’s best route to an upset is to keep the score level and force Arsenal to commit more players ahead of the ball.
