Chelsea host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 10 October, with kick-off at 3pm UK time.

Xabi Alonso has more options following positive fitness updates on Cole Palmer, João Pedro, Reece James and Moisés Caicedo.

These are predicted selections, with the official teams still to be announced.

Chelsea predicted line-up

Possible XI (3-4-2-1): Martínez; Fofana, Lacroix, Colwill; Neto, James, Caicedo, Chavarría; Palmer, Rogers; João Pedro.

João Pedro replaces Danny Welbeck in our projected XI following the latest availability update. Being fit for selection does not guarantee a start, however, and Welbeck remains an alternative.

According to talkSPORT’s report of Alonso’s press conference, Palmer, João Pedro, James and Caicedo are available.

Jamie Gittens will miss the match with an ankle injury.

Bournemouth predicted line-up

Possible XI (4-2-3-1): Petrović; Smith, Hill, António Silva, Truffert; Adams, Cook; Rayan, Christie, Tavernier; Evanilson.

Alex Scott’s absence leaves Marco Rose with a midfield decision. Lewis Cook partners Tyler Adams in this prediction, with Ryan Christie operating further forward.

Pre-match reporting also identifies Eli Junior Kroupi, Justin Kluivert, Amine Adli and Julián Araujo as absentees.

When are the confirmed line-ups announced?

The official teams are expected at 1.45pm BST, 75 minutes before kick-off, under the Premier League’s team-news schedule.
