West Ham came from 3–0 down at half-time to draw 3–3 at Cardiff City in Scott Parker’s first game in charge. Jarrod Bowen set up two goals, including Maximilian Kilman’s 82nd-minute equaliser, after Jack Moylan had scored a first-half hat-trick for Cardiff.

Jack Moylan hits a hat-trick before half-time

Moylan opened the scoring in the 11th minute, collecting Alexander Robertson’s pass and firing into the top corner from 20 yards. He won and converted a penalty in the 37th minute, then glanced in Joel Bagan’s corner two minutes later to complete his hat-trick.

Parker makes three changes as West Ham hit back

Parker brought on Ezra Mayers, Mohamadou Kanté and Joël Piroe at half-time. Bowen clipped a pass behind Cardiff’s defence for Divine Mukasa to lift over Nathan Trott in the 58th minute, and Piroe teed up Arne Engels to make it 3–2 seven minutes later.

Bowen supplied the equaliser too. Cardiff only half-cleared a corner, and the West Ham captain crossed from the right for Kilman to beat Trott to the ball. Trott then denied Tomáš Souček to preserve Cardiff’s point, as detailed in West Ham’s official match report.

West Ham finished with 18 shots to Cardiff’s seven and put 10 on target. Trott made seven saves, including the late stop that kept Parker’s side from completing the comeback with a winner.
