Crystal Palace have received a double injury boost before Thursday’s Europa League match against Hoffenheim, with Quinten Timber and Jorgen Strand Larsen available again.

Pierre Sage confirmed both players are ready to return after missing recent matches. Palace host the German side at Selhurst Park, with kick-off at 5.45pm GMT.

Timber and Strand Larsen available for Crystal Palace

Timber has recovered from a hamstring problem, while Strand Larsen has been managing an ankle injury.

Both had resumed training before becoming ready for match selection. Their availability gives Sage more options in midfield and attack, although neither has been confirmed as a starter.

The pair have been absent since Palace’s 2-2 draw with Besiktas, according to BBC Sport’s press conference summary.

Can Jean-Philippe Mateta play against Hoffenheim?

Yes. Mateta remains eligible for the Europa League fixture despite his domestic suspension.

Palace’s appeal against his dismissal at Tottenham was unsuccessful, but the resulting three-match ban applies to domestic fixtures. It does not rule him out against Hoffenheim.

Fantasy Football Scout’s team-news update confirms the distinction.

Which Crystal Palace players are still injured?

Ismaila Sarr remains unavailable with a groin problem. Takehiro Tomiyasu is not expected back before the international break, while Chadi Riad continues his rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury.

Palace have four points from their opening three Europa League games. Thursday’s fixture is their eighth match in 25 days, making the return of two senior players particularly timely.
